In the spirit of Thanksgiving, here is some good news for every business owner, and indeed for every individual as well.
In past newsletters, we’ve warned about upcoming postal rate increases that would affect every class of mail, from Bulk Rate to First Class.
Well, guess what! The proposed increase for this coming January has been canceled! Huzzah!
Seems the rate increases have caused declining mail volumes and mounting deficits for the USPS. Well, duh, any businessperson could have predicted that!
Nevertheless, they are still planning a rate increase this coming Summer, perhaps again in 2026 as well.
We’ll surely keep you informed before any of that happens, but meanwhile, we have one more thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
And most of all, we at MMG are all thankful for our customers and our many business associates.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Reminder: We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day after.
East County Economic Development Council’s 40th Anniversary
What an incredible evening we had on October 25th, celebrating the Council’s 40th Anniversary at the Sycuan Casino Resort! The night was filled with the very best of East County.
At right are Rachel Murany and her Copywriter, Al Lefcourt. Check out all the event photos here, thanks to ZeusDoesPhotos.com.
Did you know that Rachel Murany is an Ambassador for the East County Chamber of Commerce?
We at MMG strive to support our business community and their success. Below is a link to the Chamber’s upcoming events. It’s a great organization and we encourage you to participate. If you would like Rachel to bring you to any of these events, do let her know! (And don’t forget to thank her!)
Women in Black
Remember Halloween? Here are the five female Men in Black impersonators who thankfully kept the attendees safe at the Chamber’s monthly Board meeting in October! All are Board Members!
WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP
As a certified woman-owned business, MMG has been a sponsor of the Chamber’s Women in Leadership Luncheon for many years. We chose this year’s event, which was held on October 18 at Sycuan Casino Resort, to be our primary philanthropic investment for the year.

Thanks, Rachel!
WHERE’S MONGO?
Our beloved mascot is here with his award of a $50 Gift Certificate to The Brigantine for the lucky entrant chosen at random from those who correctly identify where he is posing for his photo this month.
Can you tell Where’s Mongo? Just reply to this email and let us know! Good luck!
Congratulations to our September “Where’s Mongo?” winner, Ardy Riego, Work-Based Learning Specialist at the Grossmont Union High School District.
He won a $50 gift certificate to the Brigantine restaurant!
Here he is, thanking Rachel for his reward for finding Mongo at Gallagher Square at PETCO Park.
